Some common responses to anxiety

Numbing out through medication, substances, avoidance and withdrawal from situations may be used as a way of coping by trying to control anxiety-inducing situations or the associated symptoms. These coping techniques may provide temporary relief, however, it ultimately reinforces anxiety and makes it stronger rather than it going away which can have a dramatic impact of your life.

Counselling can support you in understanding your triggers and in learning new ways of coping and managing the symptoms of anxiety so that you are in control and not the anxiety.
